Film Industry Spending

We are a Job Creator. We have a balanced program that remains competitive and fiscally responsible to the state. We are the only industry that reports to the legislature every two years to update on our progress.

All of the payroll for residents, spending on productions in local communities across the state, and the ripple effects of that spending spending stay right here at home. The film industry accounts for $1 BILLION in spending per year that is, in a sense, imported into our state–that money would be spent elsewhere if it weren’t for our lucrative tax incentive program. The footprint of the film industry continues to expand throughout parishes across Louisiana as filmmakers discover new opportunities, local businesses, and filming locations to highlight across our beautiful state.
